It’s high time for a delicious soup recipe that can be whipped up in a flash, don’t you think? French onion soup typically takes hours to make, lending that deeply caramelized onion-y flavor we love so much. We can get pretty sweet results in the microwave without standing at the stove stirring onions for hours. In this version, the onions soften in butter with a touch of salt and are slightly soured by a touch of vinegar.
