Kids in the Kitchen! Recipe Ketch-up!

Babka is an Eastern European part cake, part yeast bread made traditionally with either cinnamon sugar or chocolate swirled in, and it’s usually eaten as a breakfast bread or with coffee or tea as an afternoon treat. In other words, it’s totally delicious. In class, we will learn about the history of babka and all about Eastern Europe.

True to Sticky Fingers form, we’ve snuck in some sweet potato goodness to boost the nutrition and so kids can see how easy it is to make a little sweet potato snack in the microwave. Little did we know when we created the recipe lineup months ago that February was National Sweet Potato Month. Yeah us!

Parents, have your kid chefs taste a bite of plain sweet potato before making the delicious Sweet Potato Chocolate Swirl! What other foods and flavors could they imagine pairing with sweet potato? Get them thinking like chefs! We hope you love this whimsical take on the classic as much as we do.
