Meet Annette Littlefield, a mom of three and Sticky Fingers Cooking’s latest franchise owner in sunny Jacksonville, Florida! Franchise ownership wasn’t part of Annette’s original plan. With a background in project management, customer support, and sales, Annette had initially studied music business, with big plans to become an entertainment lawyer in Atlanta. But her career took a different path, and she wound up in the tech industry, managing teams for six years. After being laid off last summer, Annette embraced the opportunity for a fresh start, and now she’s channeling her passion into something closer to her heart—launching a Sticky Fingers Cooking franchise in Northeast Florida.
It's a natural fit for her. In fact, she came across Sticky Fingers Cooking while searching for summer camps for her boys, Dexter, 6, and Charlie, 3. The idea of teaching kids to cook healthy, delicious meals in a fun, hands-on way resonated with her values as a mom and wellness advocate, and her curiosity was piqued.
Within a month, Annette was fully immersed in hands-on training at Sticky Fingers Cooking’s headquarters in Colorado. The training experience confirmed her instinct that this was the right next step for her career.
Katie Brennan, Sticky Fingers Cooking®‘s Chief of Staff observes, "Annette just radiates warmth and enthusiasm. She’s not only leading Sticky Fingers Cooking’s growth in Jacksonville and beyond—she’s inspiring everyone around her with her positive energy. Her passion, creativity, and drive bring new ideas and a contagious excitement to her team and classes!"
And Jacksonville’s ready for her! This unique community, with its blend of alternative schools and thriving families, is an ideal place for Annette’s new venture. Jacksonville’s diverse educational cultures—from Montessori to Waldorf—perfectly complement the engaging, hands-on cooking classes that Sticky Fingers Cooking is known for. In a city where health and family life are central, Sticky Fingers Cooking offers families a chance to connect over nutritious, balanced meals. Through our classes, kids learn to appreciate whole foods, building healthy habits from a young age. With her background as a wellness advocate, Annette is thrilled to bring these values to local families.
As for her favorite Sticky Fingers Cooking recipe? This season she’s going with Savory South African Sweet Potato Stew with Eba Dipping Dumplings. It’s a delicious embodiment of one of Sticky Fingers Cooking’s core purposes (as well as her own): to broaden kids’ palates and show them that nutritious food can be flavorful and totally delicious.
