Hooray for Children's Book Week, the 7-day stretch in May dedicated to the captivating world of children's literature! At Sticky Fingers Cooking, we believe reading has a magical ability to spark kids’ creativity and imagination. That's why we created our Cooks + Books camp, a unique and engaging experience that combines kids’ natural love of stories with their eagerness to get busy in the kitchen!
During our book-themed cooking classes, kids are transported into imaginary worlds through beloved books like Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak, Dragons Love Tacos by Adam Rubin, and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling. Our talented instructors set the scene and then lead kids through hands-on culinary activities that bring the stories to life. This interactive and educational experience is designed to nourish kids’ minds and bellies while also teaching them essential cooking skills and techniques.
For children who may be hesitant to try new foods, our Cooks + Books camp provides a safe and fun environment to explore new flavors and ingredients. And for those who may not be as interested in books, we aim to engage them in a new and exciting way.
