Anytime I think of autumn, I think of gooey yummy delicious cinnamon rolls. Cinnamon rolls, indeed the single most fabulous comfort food. But comfort doesn't always have to mean unhealthy! Tender rolls filled with slightly tangy, healthy cranberries and grated fresh carrots, healthy cinnamon & topped with a tart-sweet cranberry drizzle. They're the perfect breakfast treat. Not only are they very easy and fun to make with your family, but I also challenge you all to eat just one. Can you do it?? These cinnamon rolls are certainly something to swoon over!
In our Sticky Fingers Cooking classes, we will also make cranberry frozen yogurt while exploring some fun COOL-inary Science experiments: Do cranberries float? Can you 'fish' for ice? We will learn all about how salt affects ice temperature and how heat expands air.
After researching the history of cinnamon rolls, I discovered that they are a Swedish invention. The first cinnamon roll was baked in Sweden, where October 4th is known as National Cinnamon Bun Day. Sweden also celebrates Children's Day on November 20th… Whip this recipe up with your family this month and next month for BOTH Cinnamon Bun Day and Children's Day! Bon appetite: 'Smaklig måltid!' (Smock lig mol tid) in Swedish!
